Ana Araújo - Senior Administrative Program Specialist
Ana is a senior administrator at Testing and Evaluation Services and the UW Center for Placement Testing. She received her B.A. (Magna Cum Laude) in English and French from UW Parkside in 1983 and a M.A. in Foreign Language and Literature from UW Milwaukee in 1986. She was a Ph. D. student in the French and Portuguese departments at UW Madison from 1986-1991, but accepted a full time administrative job at Testing and Evaluation in January of 1992.
Her responsibilities at Testing and Evaluation Services and the UW Center for Placement Testing include:
- Develops budget categories for five distinct budgets within T&E and the Center for Placement Testing; responsible for making budget projections and developing recommendations for annual operating budgets for T&E and the Center for Placement Testing. Resolves budgetary concerns with other campus departments and System institutions as different needs evolve within the developing programs of T&E and the Center.
- Coordinates Center support services for each of the Placement Test Development Committees. Negotiates payments with each UW System institution and monitors annual budgets for each of the Placement Test Development Committees. Serves as staff support on the Center for Placement Testing Advisory Council; responds to special requests and assignments by the Director.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining computerized financial and administrative procedures of T&E and the Center for Placement Testing. Responsible for monitoring day-to-day financial, administrative, and personnel activities of T&E and the Center. Oversight and reconciliation of campus ledgers with the department budgetary and accounting systems.
